In residence at the Faculty of Music at the University of Montreal (UdeM), the Nouvel Ensemble Moderne (NEM) is a chamber orchestra of 15 permanent musicians that performs in Quebec, Canada and internationally.
Since its founding in 1989, the Ensemble has built a solid reputation. An inescapable leader in its community and on the international scene, the NEM is recognized for its modernism and excellence in all aspects of the interpretation, creation and preservation of the musical works of the 20th and 21st centuries.
