Jean-Michaël Lavoie has led an international career as a conductor since the age of 28. Trained at McGill University, he served as assistant conductor of the Ensemble intercontemporain and resident conductor of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Invited by major European orchestras, he has conducted ensembles like the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France. Lavoie made his operatic debut at La Scala in Milan and regularly conducts contemporary music ensembles such as Klangforum Wien. A professor at the University of Montreal, he took over as artistic director of the Nouvel Ensemble Moderne in the 2024-25 season.

With a simple color palette and elegant but no-frills fonts, we let Jean-Michaël's work and experience speak for themselves. The graphic design is enhanced by the incredible photography of artist Lou Scamble.
